#185: Let God Lead

We welcome our readers, God lovers, sons and daughters of Zion to this glorious year of the Lord, 2022. We believe that God who has kept us thus far has great plans for us this year. He has promised and will continue to remain faithful. In this year 2022, we pray that this blog will serve as nourishment for our lives as we course through the journey of life.

The New Year is usually seen as a time for new resolutions, sober reflections with several phrases like ‘New year, new life,’ ‘Dawn of a new era’, flying around. While some see it as a time to make life-changing decisions others feel it’s just a change in the calendar. Howsoever it is, we make decisions daily; premeditated or not.

The decisions we make as we plan our lives have a great deal on our future; could make or mar us. Because we have no idea of what tomorrow holds, we need direction and guidance from He who knows tomorrow. This is where Divine Direction comes in. This month, we will be trusting God to take us through understanding divine direction.

The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8

Most times, we are scared of surrendering our lives to God because we feel once we do that, He will take us backwards or send us as missionaries into a remote village. However, the word of the Lord says that He will guide us along the best pathway for our lives. He knows what is best for us and He always leads forward.  We might have had our life all planned and calculated, remember that;

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.
Proverbs 16:25

What then should we do? From today, going forward, we should include our creator in our decision making. Let’s commit our ways to the Lord. Everything we do; from our outings, daily routines to major life decisions like marriage and career. Through this, we secure His divine direction for our lives. This divine direction secures and guarantees our glorious destiny in Christ Jesus.

Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.
Psalms 37:5

Today, as you pen down your new year resolutions and plans for the year, remember to inform the Chief planner. Join us next week as we delve more into understanding the wonders of Divine Directions.

Verse for the Day: Isaiah 48: 17 NLT

This is what the Lord says—
    your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
    who teaches you what is good for you
    and leads you along the paths you should follow.

Thank you. God Bless you.

Happy 2022
