#158: Faith that Grows I

Image
In the next few weeks, we will be taking a look at Faith and ways through which we can build our Faith. Before then, let’s see what faith is. Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) Faith is trusting God and not your guts in every situation, it is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. Our ancestors, the Giants of Faith had this secret and so they built their life on a firm foundation that enabled them to be set above the crowd. Faith is choosing to believe. It is an unreserved and full confidence in God, in His love for us and in his power to help us in what so ever circumstances. Sometimes, we feel that we have messed up big time, probably beyond God’s forgiveness; but this is the trick that the devil uses to keep us in sin. The preparations that is talked about in our key text is inclusive and actually shows first e

#156: If not for God...

1  If the LORD had not been on our side— let Israel say—  2  if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us,  3  they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us;  4  the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us,  5  the raging waters would have swept us away.  6  Praise be to the LORD, who has not let us be torn by their teeth.  7  We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.  8  Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
