#108: Giants of Faith I: The Starter Pack

In the next few weeks, we will be taking a look at the Giants of Faith. Before then, let’s see what faith is.

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)

Faith is trusting God and not your guts in every situation, it is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. Our ancestors (Giants of Faith) had this secret and so they built their life on a firm foundation that enabled them to be set above the crowd.

Faith is choosing to believe. It is an unreserved and full confidence in God, in His love for us and in his power to help us in what so ever circumstances. It is that firm persuasion and expectation that God will perfect all that he has promised.

But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 (AMP)

The life experiences of the Giants of faith such as Noah, David, Abraham, Esther, Joseph and Christ will help us grow in faith, walk with God and please Him. Don't miss out in this expedition.

  1. Sometimes relying on another seems very hard, putting your entire weight and trust seems very risky.it's like putting your eggs in one basket and trusting that the basket would hold and keep them safe nomatter the storms and troubles. Faith is a hard something especially in challenging situations( I've had my share of them) but the truth is no one ever regrets trusting/putting their faith in God.

    1. Faith is fundamentally a spiritual act. it will never make sense to the human sense or reasoning. as you have rightly said, putting your eggs in one basket is a foolish and careless thing to do. but through the eyes of the spirit, any egg that is not in the basket of our LORD is a risk. Our assurance is in the LORD
